CA Articling Student

We are currently seeking a CA articling student to join our team. Our diverse client base will provide you with the opportunity to gain experience in taxation, accounting, assurance and specialty services in a variety of industries. You will work closely with the partners and senior managers in addressing our clients’ many needs.

Our CASB Student Support program represents a commitment by GH&A to provide CASB students with an individualized program to ensure that aspiring CA’s have access to professionals and gain the knowledge necessary to complete the requirements of the CASB program and have success on the UFE.

Our mentorship program allows for module assistance and focuses on case-writing development. With several students in various stages of the CASB program, you will also benefit from the related CASB experiences of these peers.

In addition to the provision of adequate study time and a competitive salary, all CASB course fees and professional dues are covered by the firm.

We are looking for dynamic individuals who possess solid technical skills, excellent interpersonal skills, an aptitude for learning and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The appropriate applicant will contribute to our office culture by valuing mutual respect, honesty and professionalism.

Summer Positions

GH&A provides term employment opportunities, including spring/summer and/or co-op program positions for post-secondary students studying accounting.

Summer employment provides students with the opportunity to experience life in a public accounting practice and to work closely with experienced practitioners. The networking opportunities are invaluable, and the hands-on work experience will provide an effective learning tool which can be utilized during the completion of one’s academic program, as well as in future employment.

Under the one-on-one training provided by experienced staff members, students will develop skills in the use of various bookkeeping software applications, the account program “Caseware” and the tax program “Profile”, both of which are used in the CASB program.

Students will also be able to build upon their organization and time management skills, as they will be responsible for managing their workload of assigned files. Such skills are necessary for a career in accounting.
