Personal
I was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan and moved to Calgary after high school and a one year secretarial course. In 1975, I married and moved to Strathmore.
I have 3 grown children, two boys and a girl. While they were growing up, they were involved in soccer, baseball, softball and swimming in the summer. In the winter, they were occupied with Scouting and I served on the group committee for several years. A highlight of this was volunteering with my daughter at the Canadian Jamboree in PEI in 2001.
Professional
My work experience has been at the University of Calgary and the County of Wheatland during the 70’s. I then began doing the bookkeeping for a family business and started to take courses through correspondence with Athabasca University. Since coming to GH&A in June 1991, I have continued to upgrade with accounting courses from SAIT in recent years.
