Bookkeeper/Accounting Technician

Our firm is currently looking for an experienced bookkeeper/accounting technician. This is a full-time position but we are flexible and would consider an individual seeking part-time employment with the right skills and experience.

We have had great success within our community and would love to hire someone locally.

Our ideal candidate would have public practice experience, but we are willing to train the right person who is eager to learn and join our team.

CPA Articling Student

Gregory, Harriman & Associates LLP (GH&A) is a public accounting firm located in Strathmore, Alberta, 25 minutes east of Calgary. Our firm is comprised of three partners along with over thirty staff, which includes designated professionals, CPA students and administration staff. GH&A is a full service firm that provides accounting, assurance, income tax services to individuals, owner-managed businesses, not-for-profit entitites and municipalities. We are committed to providing excellent service through interactive, and mutually beneficial relationship with our valued clients.

GH&A is currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated CPA articling student to join our team starting September 2024. This is an ideal position for applicants looking to work with a diverse client base to gain experience in accounting, assurance, taxation and specialty services in a variety of industries.

Who GH&A is looking for: 

  • The applicant should be in the process of completing or have completed the entrance requirements for the CPA Professional Education Program;

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills;

  • Proven leadership skills along with the ability to work independently and in a team environment;

  • Organizational skills with a strong work ethic;

  • Capacity to problem solve, have attention to detail and make decisions with confidence.

Co-op CPA Articling Student

GH&A is currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Co-op articling student to join our team for a 4 or 8 month term beginning January 2024. This is an ideal position for applicants looking to complete a learning term with a diverse client base to gain experience in accounting, assurance, taxation and specialty services in a variety of industries.

Who GH&A is looking for: 

  • The applicant should be working towards a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business (accounting or finance major is preferred);

  • In the process of working towards prerequisites for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) after graduation;

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills;

  • Proven leadership skills along with the ability to work independently and in a team environment;

  • Organizational skills with a strong work ethic;

  • Capacity to problem solve, have attention to detail and make decisions with confidence.
